Miss Grace Dance
About Me
Mikhail Baryshnikov once said, "I found that dance, music and literature is how I made sense of the world...it pushed me to think of things bigger than life's daily routines...to think beyond what is immediate or convenient." In today's technologically run world, dance brings out mindfulness, creativity, presence, physical and aesthetic communication. It helps us think outside the box and become present in the here and now.

My goal is to first teach children the beauty and love of dance, then the discipline of technique.

Grace began her dance training at Montessori De Bambini in the Philippines. After her family relocated to California, Grace attended Westlake School for the Performing Arts in Daly City and South San Francisco Civic Ballet under instructor and former Lines Ballet dancer, Maria Spremich. Grace studied at San Francisco State University where she learned modern dance with Kathleen McCarthy, and Susan Whipp; ballet with Wendy Diamond; Afro-Haitian, Duhnam Technique and Jazz with Alicia Pierce; and Afro-Brazilian and Capoeira with Paco Gomez. She was part of San Francisco State University's Univerity Dance Theater performing dance company and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Dance. Since receiving her B.A. in dance at SFSU, Grace has continued teaching, dancing and choreographing in dance studios, community centers and preschools around the Bay Area. In the summer of 2013, she performed as a modern dancer with the Sara Du Jour project in San Francisco. Grace is blessed to be able to share her love of dance with her students.
